Why connect Google Search Console?

The Visibly AI GSC integration does one thing: it makes AI suggestions keyword-aware.

Without GSC, the AI Content Optimizer analyzes your post's structure and returns suggestions based on the 10 AEO signals. That works well — it tells you which structural signals you are failing and how to fix them.

With GSC connected, the optimizer also knows which search queries your post already ranks for. It uses that data to tailor suggestions to your actual traffic opportunity. Instead of generic structural advice, it tells you: you are ranking at position 14 for "morning routine for beginners" — here is how to optimize specifically for that query.

GSC is optional. The optimizer is useful without it. It is more powerful with it.

What does the GSC panel show?

Once connected, each post in the Gutenberg editor gets a Search Console Insights panel showing:

  • Near page 1 — queries where your post ranks at position 11–20. One targeted improvement could move these onto page 1.
  • Low CTR — queries where you rank on page 1 but searchers are not clicking. Your title or meta description may need work.
  • The full query table for the post, collapsed by default.

Each insight card has an Analyze with AI for these queries button that passes those specific queries into the AI optimizer — so Claude focuses its suggestions on the keywords that matter most for that post.

Is my data safe?

Visibly AI requests read-only access to your Google Search Console data. It cannot modify your GSC account or your website. Tokens are stored securely in the Visibly AI database and used only to fetch query data for your posts.

You can disconnect at any time from the Pro & License settings page.

How do you connect GSC?

  1. In WordPress, go to Settings → Visibly AI Pro & License
  2. Click Connect Google Search Console
  3. A popup opens — sign in with the Google account that has access to your GSC property
  4. Authorize read-only access
  5. The popup closes automatically and GSC data loads in your post sidebars

The connection is per-site. If you manage multiple WordPress sites, connect GSC separately on each one.

What if my post has no GSC data yet?

New posts and low-traffic posts may show "No query data for this URL in the last 90 days." This is normal — GSC only has data for URLs that have received impressions in the last 90 days.

In that case, the AI Content Optimizer still works — it just uses structural analysis rather than keyword-aware analysis. Once your post starts ranking and accumulates impression data in GSC, the panel will populate automatically on the next refresh.
